Favorite Beauty Websites

I have found two new (to me) beauty websites that I wanted to share.

Daily Makeover is the first website. If you are looking for a new hair style or information about new trends this is the spot for you. You can look at different celebrity hairstyles and it even gives you directions for the same look. It also has a place where you can upload a picture of yourself and try different hair and makeup. It's a lot of fun to play with!


MakeUpAlley is all about product reviews. Different users add a product or write a review for something. I don't know about you but I always look for great reviews before I spend my money on anything, so I love this site.
You can also find message boards where you can discuss pretty much anything.

With both of these websites you have to join to see certain information, but both are Free, and we all know how I love free things.

Free samples & coupons

I love getting the mail everyday. I have signed up for so many free magazine subscriptions and free samples that I get something fun in the mail all the time. One of my favorite ways to get free products and coupons is from word of mouth advertising. Word of mouth advertising is where companies give you free products or coupons to try in hopes that you will spread the word. Best of all everything is free for you! Before you apply for any of these let me give you a few tips I've learned along the way.

• Open a separate email account to give all of these companies. I have a friends/family email address and a spam email address. They will send out periodic emails.
  
• Log onto these different websites a few times a month just to make sure you aren't missing anything.
• Fill in surveys and other information they ask for. Most are short and only take a few minutes.
  
• Enjoy the free samples and coupons!

Vocalpoint is my favorite one. I have received so many different free items and coupons. A few weeks ago I was sent a sample of the new Kashi cereal and a coupon for a free box. They seem to send out the most free stuff and you don't really have to do very much. They also have fun articles and information on the site. Just click Here to sign up.

Kraft First Taste program sends out coupons for new Kraft items. I received a coupon for a free Velvetta Mac and Cheese a few months ago. Click Here to join.

General Mills Psst..... is the next one. Just today I got a package with one free bag of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters and 9 high value coupons. This program is just starting but I'm excited to see what else they send out. Click Here to join.



I got a free Fitness Magazine subscription from Shespeaks and samples I've requested. It is also a fun website where you can get product reviews and other information. Click Here to join.


BzzAgent is the last one because you have to do the most work to get anything. You have to complete a lot of reviews and and surveys to get anything but once you have done that you can become part of a "campaign" where they send you a box full of a new products and samples to give out to people. Right now I am involved in the Burts Bees Acne Solution campaign and have been trying it for free, so far I love the product so if you want to put in a little extra work join BzzAgents. Earn Money by Doing What You Already Do

Have you heard about Swagbucks? I first heard about Swagbucks about a year ago but I never really got into it until last month and now I'm hooked! It is a search engine like Google or Yahoo but every now and then when you search for something you earn a swag buck. Once you have enough swag bucks you cash them in for money, gift cards or products.

It is so easy to earn the swagbucks, every time I want to search for something I log onto Swagbucks, search and sometimes get paid. I think the most used reward is a $5 gift card to Amazon for 45 swagbucks. The best part is it only took me about 3 weeks to earn 45 Swagbucks. My plan is to keep saving them up and then before Christmas cash in all of my bucks for Amazon gift cards.

I Love Ebates, you should too.

Have you heard of Ebates? I love Ebates. Ebates is a website where you get paid to shop online. Pretty simple. You create an account, log in, and find a store where you would like to purchase something. It then redirects you to that site and you receive a percentage of the money you spend. You will receive anywhere between 1% to sometimes 25% back of your purchase.
I love this site because I can actually say that I have received a check in the mail from them. We purchased our high chair using Ebates and I cashed in a check for $7.85. It isn't a ton of money but if you shop online often you should get something back for that.
Another thing I love about ebates is the coupon codes you can find for certain stores. Just search for the store you want and see if they have any coupon codes listed.

Have you ever heard of this site before? I had never heard of it until last week when I was looking at one of the blogs I love, The Budget Babe, when she said this site was offering select Steve Madden shoes for only $19.00. Apparently this site gives you great deals on select items for only a limited time. I don't usually buy things on the spur of the moment, however when I saw these shoes I knew I had to get them. My mom owns a pair and I have drooled over them for sometime now and I know she payed a lot more for them.
6pm.com does not have them for 19.00 anymore but I did find them on shoesteal.com for only $37.00. I'm so excited to wear them, they are surprisingly comfortable.

Money Maker: You Data

I am going to tell you about a little way to make a few extra dollars a year. Yes you read right, only a few dollars a year but if you're like me you don't mind doing something ridiculously easy to earn a little money. You Data is a site where you get paid to look at websites, the company is essentially paying you for the advertising. All you do is log into the site and if there is anything available at that time you click on a link and a new website appears. That's pretty much it. You earn about ten cents, give or take, but you literally don't have to really do anything. The only problem is there may not be very many ads for you to click on. I've gone a few weeks without anything. Everything is free to sign up, you do have to answer a few surveys questions for them to find websites that may interest you, but I think it's a pretty sweet deal.
