Cheap Halloween Decor

I love this picture. Doesn't it look old and spooky.

I saw this post and got inspired to do some cheap Halloween decorating. This is one of my favorite ideas. Just get some black frames and print out Boo in different fonts. This project cost me $3. I just got the frames from the dollar store, one of them wasn't black so I just painted it.
Have fun.

Save on Laundry

I live in an apartment with a coin operated laundry; and I hate it. We never seem to have enough for the machines, so to save on quarters I've started using a drying rack. My mom bough me this drying rack from Ikea and I LOVE it. It holds a full load of laundry and when I'm done it folds flat for easy storage. Right now I save half the amount of money just by using this rack, it also has other benefits like being gentle on the clothing and creating a fort for my daughter when covered in clothes.

Frugal Friday: Reuse Baby Food Jars

I have tons of these little jars lying around my apartment waiting to be put into good use. I love these little jars and felt like it was a waste to just send them to be recycled when I could recycle them myself into something fun. This was the first idea I had. In all of my craft drawers I have small items such as buttons and brads. Why not put them all together in small jars? Easy and inexpensive.

Frugal Friday: Watch Free Movies

Many people may already know this tip, but I thought I would share it for anyone who doesn't yet know the wonderful power of "hold" at your library.

Did you know you can place any item in your library system on Hold and it will come to you! Just log into the libraries website and search for the movie and then place on hold. If the movie is new to DVD it may take a while to get to you but you won't have to pay any fees for watching (unless you return it late which I have done a time or two). This also works with books or CDs. Whenever I find a book I want to read I just place it on hold and wait for it to come to me. This works for the Salt Lake County Library, I have never tried any other system but give it a try! Search for that movie you've been dying to watch.

If you're in Salt Lake and want to give it a try go Here and click on Library Catalog to start.
